About me:

I am the Group Product Manager at EMC Documentum where I direct several products, including Webtop, Offline, and Application Connectors, and several strategic projects, including Mobile applications, Application Integrations, Content Analytics, and Visualization, which concern search, indexing, Web 2.0, and content classification. I am also one of the key stakeholders in our enterprise search project.

I’ve been with Documentum (now EMC of course) for 10 years. I first spent 5 years as a Principal Consultant with our Professional Services Group assisting customers in deploying enterprise content management systems to address various specific business needs. I graduated from the University of Colorado with degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Nuclear Engineering. I have a minor in linguistics and that probably explains why I like the languages aspect of classification and entity extraction; all of this plays into my interest around the psychology of search.
